When special cases require extra-special care
Epona Equine is a mobile farm call practice, however, when special circumstances require hospitalization and 24/7 veterinary supervision, Dr. Guillemaud utilizes the horse stabling and treatment facilities at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital in Courtenay.
The 12 X 12-foot box stall at Van Isle has thick rubber floor mats and is designed to ensure equine patients are safe and secure in climate-controlled comfort. Intravenous drips and other medical procedures can be performed and bandages can be kept clean and dry, without the complications of the weather. The spacious and well-lit stall is ideal for the treatment of medical conditions like colic, dehydration, and short-term emergency care.
